It is the dedicated and talented people behind the scenes who help make what we do possible. You might be surprised by the variety and scope of the opportunities here at the RA. From art handlers to fundraisers, event managers to accountants, we are a diverse group of people committed to delivering the highest standards to our visitors.

We offer a number of special benefits including free entry to our own exhibitions as well as to others in venues across London, employee exclusive curator-led tours, and a staff art gallery. - Pay
  We offer competitive salaries with annual reviews.
  
  Holiday
  We appreciate that regular holiday is essential for you to be at your best. Our staff enjoy 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, as well as additional leave over the Christmas period.
- Pension
  Our pension scheme includes generous employer contributions: if you contribute 3%, we’ll contribute 5%; if you contribute 6%, we’ll contribute 10%.
  
  Season ticket loan
  After your first three months at the RA, you can apply for an interest-free season ticket loan to cover the cost of a travel season ticket.
  
  Life insurance
  We appreciate the importance of life insurance, and you will receive cover at three times your salary.
- Exhibitions
  For each RA exhibition, you will be invited to a preview talk from the curator, and naturally you can visit our exhibitions as many times as you like.
  
  Staff can walk their friends and family into our exhibitions with their staff pass.
  
  You can visit exhibitions for free at many other arts institutions and museums across London, the UK and New York. We want to maximise your cultural opportunities whilst working at the RA.

  We offer the option to purchase Childcare vouchers as a salary sacrifice so that you can take advantage of tax and national insurance incentives.
  
  Employee Assistant Programme
  Staff and their family can take advantage of the confidential EAP. This is a free advice line available 24/7 providing both practical advice on legal, financial and every day issues, and emotional support, including up to six face-to-face counselling sessions.

  You can donate to your favourite charity directly from your pre-tax earnings.
  
  Events
  Free access to cultural events, organised by the RA and other institutions, and of course an invitation to our legendary, themed staff Christmas party.
- Discount
  Whether you need a greetings card or fancy afternoon tea, you can take advantage of discounts in the various RA restaurants, cafés and RA shops.
  
  Cycle to work scheme
  For the benefit of both you and the environment, a loan for the purchase of a bicycle is available through the Cycle to Work scheme. We have staff showers too.
- Staff choir
  Our choir, in partnership with Music in Offices, rehearses on Thursday lunchtimes with regular performances throughout the year. 2014 will see us enter the Office Choir of the Year competition.
  
  Weekly fruit delivery
  Each Tuesday fresh fruit is delivered to the office to help you towards your 5 a day.

  Investing in staff development is important to us, and we are ambitious about allowing staff to grow and fulfil their potential. Recent initiatives include:

  A year-long programme for all managers covering a range of topics from leading a team to managing budgets and projects.
  
  Inspiring Employees
  Monthly lunch and learn sessions open to all, featuring guest speakers such as Harvard Business Review award winner and London Business School professor, Rob Goffee.
  
  Training for individuals or teams
  From British Sign Language to ACCA financial certification, History of Art evening classes at the Sotheby’s Institute and public speaking, we help staff to acquire and hone the skills they need to reach their potential.
